The PathHunter TAAR5 eXpress kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This kit assesses ligand based activation of TAAR5 GPCR activity via detection of β-arrestin recruitment. The included cell line overexpresses ProLink-tagged TAAR5 and EA-tagged β-Arrestin-2. Activation of TAAR5 stimulates the recruitment of β-Arrestin-2 and produces EFC signal. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates. Cayman’s Phagocytosis Assay Kit (IgG-DyLight™ 633) employs latex beads coated with fluorescently-labeled rabbit IgG as a probe for the measurement of the phagocytic process in vitro. The engulfed fluorescent beads can be detected using a fluorescence microscope, allowing kinetic studies of phagocytosis at the single-cell level. In addition, the flow cytometric readout provides the advantage of visualizing perturbations in phagocytosis on the population level and, when combined with antibody staining, of specific cell types within complex populations.
